Parenting support
The Parenting Support Service provides general parenting education and information in person or over the phone to parents/carers of children aged 0-5 yrs. The service identifies ongoing support needs and refers families to the appropriate agency/department/program.
Parenting Assessment & Skill Development Service (PASDS)
Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Service is a specialist service for high risk infants aged 0-3 years and their families. This service is accessed through Child Protection referrals only.
The PASDS team provides an intensive in home/in venue parenting assessment and report. This is usually followed by the development and implementation of a Parenting Skill Development Plan and followed by a report.
Intergrated family services
This is a service for families who require extra support and assistance to address specific circumstances which are impacting in their family situation and capacity to care for their children. The service provides intensive parenting support and education while creating links to appropriate agencies and social networks for families.
Families with children aged 0-17 years are referred to this service through Child FIRST intake 1300 898 713.
