Eucalyptus obliqua

A tall upright tree with a dense canopy that grows between 20 and 90 metres tall. It has broad, egg-shaped glossy leaves and white to cream flowers from December to March on club shaped buds in clusters of 7-15, followed by wine-glass shaped seeds cells. It gowns in moist to well drained soils in full sun to semi shade and is frost tolerant. Larger trees are too big for smaller gardens, but where appropriately plants they provide good shade, are good for honey production and are a koala plant food.
