Pale Rush

Juncus pallidus

A dense tufted perennial plant with erect bluish green to dull green stems that gros up to 2 metres tall. Small pale greeen to straw coloured flowers are produced on one side of the stem from November to December. This rush is  usually found in areas with seasonally wet poorly drained soils and will grow in full sun and semit shade. It  is useful in wet areas, on the edges of ponds or dams and for stabilising estuary banks.
